The vita4one Racing Team created in 2011, as a replacement of
the succesful Vitaphone Racing Team.

victory at ILMC final in Zhuhai


BMW Motorsport ended the 2011 motorsport season in style with a one-two victory, and now heads into the winter in good spirits (13th November). Jörg Müller (DE) and Augusto Farfus (BR) won the GTE class at the final round of the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup in Zhuhai (CN). The pair in the number 55 BMW M3 GT had already secured pole position for the six-hour race. Their team-mates, Andy Priaulx (GB) and Uwe Alzen (DE), in car number 56 finished runners-up in the GTE class to complete the one-two for BMW Motorsport and BMW Team Schnitzer, who was responsible for running the two BMW M3 GT cars in Zhuhai.   more...

At the end of an arduous yet successful 2011 motorsport season BMW Motorsport travels to China for Sunday's (13th November) final round of the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup (ILMC) at the Zhuhai International Circuit. Once again, BMW Team Schnitzer has responsibility for both BMW M3 GTs entered in the six-hour race, with the car bearing start number 55 being in the hands of Augusto Farfus and Jörg Müller, and Andy Priaulx and Uwe Alzen rotating driving duties in the number 56 sister entry.   more...

Although there haven't been any races on Augusto Farfus' schedule for the past weeks, the Brazilian was busy driving BMW race cars. The 28-year-old was heavily involved in BMW Motorsport's DTM testing programme, putting the new BMW M3 DTM through its paces on several occasions. This weekend Farfus will sit behind the wheel of his familiar BMW M3 GT again, contesting the fifth round of the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup for BMW at Silverstone.

Augusto Farfus will race in the DTM for BMW

This is good news for all fans of Augusto Farfus: The 27-year-old Brazilian will be part of BMW's driver line-up, when the brand makes its DTM comeback in 2012 . In Munich's BMW Welt Farfus was presented as one of the first two drivers for the forthcoming season alongside Andy Priaulx.

BMW Motorsport celebrated being on the winners' podium at its home event (June 26th, 2011) at the Nürburgring-Nordschleife (DE), two weeks after finishing third in the GTE class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans (FR). After completing the record-breaking 156 laps, the BMW M3 GT with number 1 crossed the finish line second at the 24-hour race in the "Green Hell", in front of 250,000 spectators.
